How we look after each other here.
Last updated 25 August 2026
Vellia's Community exists for one reason: so you don't have to work this out alone. Perimenopause and menopause look different for everyone, and the most useful thing we can offer each other is honest experience, shared kindly.
These guidelines keep that possible. They apply everywhere in Vellia where you can post, reply, or be seen by other members.
You won't agree with everyone here, and you don't have to. Treat people with respect anyway.
Telling your story is powerful. Telling someone what they should take or stop taking is not — none of us knows another person's full picture. Encourage each other to talk to a healthcare provider about anything clinical.
What's shared here stays here. Don't screenshot, repost, or share another member's words, name, or story outside Vellia.
This is a space for perimenopause, menopause, and the wellbeing that supports both.
We have no tolerance for the following. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and the account that posted it may be suspended or permanently banned without warning.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion where we believe these guidelines have been broken.
Open the menu on any post and choose Report, or swipe left on the post. Reports go to our review queue and we look at each one.
Choose Block from the same menu. Once you block someone, their posts no longer appear for you. You can see and undo your blocks any time under Settings → Blocked members.
For anything urgent, email contact@sixsidemarketing.com with Community report in the subject line.
These guidelines are about how we treat each other, but if you're struggling right now, please reach out to someone who can help properly. Contact your local emergency services, or find a crisis line near you at findahelpline.com.
We may update these guidelines as the community grows. When we make a meaningful change, we'll ask you to review and accept the updated version in the app.
